Captain's Journal: Whitby
The Doctor sent word that he had to abruptly relocate and requested I should meet him at small enclave known as Whitby. I arrived via locomotive, as there were no aero facilities near this coastal town. Upon exiting the passenger car, I felt a distinct chill... something beyond the cold bite of this remote locale. I was to meet him at a local pub near the docks. I shall be happy to simply find someplace where I can enjoy a pint and a bit of warmth.
With Halloween just around the corner, I felt the need to add this entry as soon as possible. The other work of art on display by Ms. Hera zee9 is Whitby, a beautiful mixture of Gothic Horror, Steampunk and Real Life.
The streets of Whitby... where her Whaling Inn is located
To paraphrase from her narrative note card...
"For those unfamiliar with the place or name, it is a real seaside town and port in the northeast of England. It is here in 1890 that Bram Stoker was inspired to write his novel, Dracula, and the rest is, as they say, history."
The road leading to the sea is just ahead...
Continuing with her narrative...
She mentioned she had a similar build last year, and this year's was (slightly) upgraded, preventing repetition.

The Manor
"The Manor is a close replica of Aliester Crowley's house, Boleskine. It suffered significant damage (in 2015). Her recreation stands on the shores of Loch Ness in Scotland, but I moved it to Whitney".
A back view of the Manor
The stairwell to the Manor
The impressive library inside... which apparently was recently used.
The Ruined Abbey
Much of the remainder of Whitby is based on the Francis Ford Coppola's 1992 "Bram Stoker's Dracula", a work which has an amazing Gothic Horror feel. She has built numerous aspects of the film, which after re-watching the movie, I was thoroughly impressed at her excellent representation of the work on her sim.
The statues located in the garden...
... leading to Lucy's tomb!
I took over 200 pictures, and had a challenging time reducing the selection to the few listed here. Sadly, Whiby will be relocated to a homestead at some point after Halloween, but if you are a fan of Gothic Horror, Victoriana, Steampunk, or the vampire aesthetic, I cannot recommend a visit to Whiby enough! Hurry, as time is running out... just follow the link to take the train to Whiby...

It would appear that the physician had left only a few days earlier. Quite frustrating, but my sources said he could prove valuable in restoring my good name back at the Admiralty. Thus, my endeavor continues to find this mysterious Doctor Fabre.
